Attending the opening ceremony were Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son; Vice President of Vietnam Badminton Federation Le Tan Dat; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and sponsor representatives.

The championship had the participation of more than 100 athletes from 8 provinces, cities and industries with developed badminton movements such as Bac Giang, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, Thai Binh, Ho Chi Minh City, Army.

Participating in the championship, athletes would compete in two main events: men's team and women's team. Each pair would play 5 matches including 3 singles matches and 2 doubles matches.

7 men's badminton teams and 6 women's badminton teams were divided into 2 groups A and B, competing in a round-robin format, taking the first and second teams from each group to compete in the semi-finals, from which the two best teams would be selected to compete in the final.

This year's championship brought together many excellent players such as Nguyen Tien Minh, Vu Thi Trang (Ho Chi Minh City); Nguyen Thuy Linh (Dong Nai); Pham Hong Nam, Nguyen Tien Tuan (Hanoi); Le Duc Phat (Army).

Bac Giang badminton team had 18 athletes participating in 2 men's and women's team events. Bac Giang team had the participation of some excellent athletes such as Pham Van Hai, Than Van Anh, Tran Thi Phuong Thuy, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Tran Quoc Khanh.

With the participation of excellent players and careful preparation of participating delegations, the championship promised to bring the audience top-notch, dramatic and exciting matches.

The National Badminton Team Championship was an annual championship held every year. The championship was an opportunity for badminton players to interact, learn, exchange experiences, and improve their achievements; sectors and localities evaluate the results of athlete selection and training. At the same time, this was an opportunity for the Organizing Committee to discover, select and supplement the force of athletes for the national team to train and participate in regional and international badminton tournaments in 2024 and the following years.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, 3 men's singles matches took place between athlete Nguyen Hai Dang (Ho Chi Minh City) and Le Thien Hung (Army); Le Minh Son (Hai Phong) and Nguyen Tat Duy Loi (Lam Dong); Tran Le Manh An (Dong Nai) and Nguyen Tien Tuan (Hanoi); 1 women's singles match between athletes Pham Thi Ngoc Mai (Hai Phong) and Vu Thi Anh Thu (Ho Chi Minh City).

The championship was expected to take place until May 17 at the Bac Giang Provincial Sports Stadium. The semi-finals would take place from 6:30 p.m. on May 16, and the final matches would take place from 6:30 p.m. on May 17./.
