Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong receives courtesy visit from the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam
On the morning of May 8, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong received a courtesy visit from the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Wu Guoquan and the Embassy's delegation on the occasion of their visit and working visit to Bac Giang province. Also attending the meeting were leaders of a number of departments and sectors.
Speaking at the receive, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong congratulated Mr. Wu Guoquan on being appointed as Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and taking the time to attend the event of Bac Giang province. The Chairman said that Bac Giang province always valued thefriendship with China and determined that this was a traditional, long-term and sustainable market. The Chairman informed that in Bac Giang, there were currently more than 200 investors from China and many investors from Hong Kong, leading in the amount of capital invested in the province. The activities of Chinese enterprises had made many contributions to the province's economy. Import-export turnover between Bac Giang and China was continuously growing.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong also said that recently, Bac Giang province and a number of Chinese localities had had good relations, signed local cooperation agreements and hoped for trade exchange cooperation between Bac Giang and China, especially Guangxi and Yunnan, were increasing day by day. He hoped that the Embassy's Minister Counselor would continue to actively support Bac Giang province in exporting lychee to the Chinese market.
Mr. Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Mr. Wu Guoquan thanked the welcome of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong. At the same time, he congratulated and expressed his impression of the province's socio-economic development achievements, especially in terms of economic growth. Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy said that Bac Giang province had many advantages in industrial and agricultural development and had similarities with some Chinese localities bordering Vietnam, so cooperation could be promoted. Mr. Wu Guoquan hoped that Bac Giang province would create favorable conditions for Chinese businesses to invest in Bac Giang. The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam would continue to act as a bridge, introduce Chinese businesses and investors to Bac Giang and actively support difficulties in import and export activities.
