At the meeting, Chairman of People's Committee of Cao Bang province Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of Bac Giang province to promote attracting local workers to work in Bac Giang. At the same time, he thanked Bac Giang province for creating favorable conditions for Cao Bang workers to work and live in Bac Giang.

He provided general information about the geographical location, natural conditions, and outstanding results in socio-economic development of Cao Bang province. He said that Cao Bang province still faced many difficulties in economic development with a high rate of poor households and backward production practices. The quality of human resources in the area was still limited. Socio-economic infrastructure faced many difficulties.

Currently, Cao Bang province was in the process of economic recovery and development after the pandemic. In 2023, the province's economic growth reached 2.24%. Budget revenue reached over 2,000 billion VND, contributing about 18% of the province's total budget expenditure. The national defense and security situation was concerned and maintained. In the following years, Cao Bang province aimed for green and sustainable development, while building a peaceful and friendly border with Chinese border provinces.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his desire to exchange experiences with Bac Giang province in socio-economic development as well as discuss cooperation opportunities with Bac Giang province in the future.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong thanked the Party Committee, Government and People of Cao Bang province in recent years for giving a lot of love to the Party Committee, Government and People of Bac Giang province, always accompanying, helping, and sharing difficulties, especially during Covid-19.

He expressed his agreement with Cao Bang province's development orientation on green development, consistent with the province's conditions, potential and strengths. At the same time, he shared Bac Giang province's experience in developing transport infrastructure, bringing change and economic development to the province.

Informing on the socio-economic development situation of Bac Giang province, he said that by 2023, Bac Giang province's economic growth reached 13.45%, ranking first in the country. The proportion of agriculture in the province's economic structure was gradually decreasing, expected to be 11% by 2024. Provincial budget revenue in 2023 reached more than 17 trillion VND.

In the current period, Bac Giang province focused on three key tasks. That was to rearrange administrative units; turning Bac Giang into a new generation industrial center of the country (green and digital industry), minimizing impact on the environment; being balanced, leaving no area behind.

Currently, Bac Giang province had about 10 thousand Cao Bang workers in industrial zones. Cao Bang workers were highly appreciated by businesses for their awareness and skills, making a significant contribution to the economic development of Bac Giang.

To well perform the work of creating jobs and stabilizing life for workers, create favorable conditions for workers wishing to come to Bac Giang province to work, Mr. Le Anh Duong requested the People's Committee of Cao Bang province to direct specialized agencies, district and commune-level People's Committees to pay close attention and coordination with specialized agencies and businesses of Bac Giang province, deploy extensive propaganda to the people; recruit workers to work at businesses in Bac Giang province. At the same time, it was recommended that the two provinces of Bac Giang and Cao Bang coordinate to open the Bac Giang - Cao Bang bus route, creating favorable conditions for Cao Bang workers to come to Bac Giang to work.

Immediately after the meeting between the People's Committees of the two provinces, a live and online conference to promote attracting workers to work at businesses in Bac Giang province was co-chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province Hoang Xuan Anh./.
