Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Anh Duong emphasized that Bac Giang is currently a locality with an open economy, many large and multinational corporations have come to study and invest in Bac Giang. In addition to focusing on industrial development, Bac Giang province attaches importance to the development of traditional agricultural products.

In order to affirm the Bac Giang lychee brand, in recent years the province has actively applied science and technology to care, maintain, and develop lychee growing areas for export; at the same time pay attention to invest in modern technology in preserving and processing lychee for export. Bac Giang's lychee today has been protected in many countries.

In addition to the traditional market, Bac Giang province also expanded its exports to many markets, including the US market. Therefore, the province looks forward to cooperate with large company, bringing lychee fruit to the US market. This also creating a premise for Bac Giang to continue to bring other potential agricultural products of the province to reach out to the world market.

For environmental treatment technology, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Anh Duong said that localities in the province currently do not have access to many modern advanced waste treatment technologies, but mainly apply traditional technologies of burying and burning. The province also expects businesses and investors to support localities to put modern waste treatment technology into operation to thoroughly treat waste sources into the environment.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Scott Anh Duong - CEO of ERG, ERG Group, US said that ERG currently owns the waste to energy technology using photovoltaic energy, wind energy, biomass gasification, waste-to-energy to generate electricity 24/7. This new technology will help renovate landfills in accordance with EPA standards, monitor groundwater sources and control the removal of leachate into the environment… Mr. Scott Anh Duong hopes Bac Giang will create favorable conditions for ERG to invest in building a waste treatment plant with advanced US waste treatment technology, no smoke, ensuring both good treatment of waste and generating electricity for daily life and manufacturing business.

In order to export lychee to the US market and some markets of China and South Korea, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong - Chairman of the Board of Sun Hee DC Group also wishes to invest in their preserving and processing technology for agricultural products in Bac Giang province. Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong said that currently ERG has signed a cooperation agreement with Sun Hee DC Group on two-way import and export of agricultural products and food of exporting fruits, seafood and food from Vietnam to the United States and importing quality fertilizers, animal feed ingredients, and functional foods from the United States into Vietnam.

Food supply partners for Sun Hee DC Group are companies and cooperatives belonging to the "food safety chain" in provinces and cities across the country, ensuring the origin, origin and criteria for food safety. Products provided by Sun Hee DC Group are certified to ensure food hygiene and safety….

From the practical development needs of Bac Giang, the representatives of ERG and Sun Hee DC Group hope to have a high agreement with Bac Giang province in order to develop a plan to export fresh litchi to the US market in the upcoming crop year and invest in advanced waste treatment technology in the province.

On the basis of high approval with technology application products of ERG and Sun Hee DC Group Company, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Anh Duong affirmed that the Provincial People's Committee will be the bridge to introduce to businesses and localities in the province have access to new technology of ERG and Sun Hee.

In particular, investing in agricultural product processing technology is very necessary, because Bac Giang province is currently a locality with a large fruit output in the top of the country, investing in agricultural product processing technology will improve the quality of agricultural products, and penetrating deeper into large and potential markets.

The province will also consider and possibly sign a contract in April with ERG and Sun Hee DC Group through a series of activities of the Vietnam High-Level Delegation at the official visit and work of the Government of Vietnam with the United States.

To come to the conclusion of official contracts, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the Agriculture and Rural Development Department, Industry and Trade Department, Natural Resources and Environment Department, Foreign Affairs Department and related localities to coordinate with companies to discuss plans and solutions to promote lychee exports to the US and bring waste treatment technology to Bac Giang province to ensure the highest efficiency.
