Promotion conference to attract workers from Cao Bang province to work at businesses in Bac Giang province

On the afternoon of March 20, the People's Committees of Bac Giang and Cao Bang provinces coordinated to organize an in-person and online conference to promote attraction of workers to work at businesses in Bac Giang province. Chairman of People's Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong and Chairman of People's Committee of Cao Bang province Hoang Xuan Anh co-chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were representatives of departments, sectors, units, unions of the two provinces and representatives of a number of businesses in Bac Giang province. The conference was held in a live and online format at 12 locations in districts and the city of Cao Bang province.

Informing at the conference, businesses in Bac Giang province currently had a need to recruit over 112,500 workers in 2024, focusing on industries and fields of production, assembly, and manufacturing of electronic components, electrical components and equipment, garment, etc. Businesses offered basic salaries for workers from 4.2 - 6.5 million VND. Total monthly income started from 7 - 12 million VND for manual workers; from 8 to under 15 million VND for office work, accounting, interpretation, and technical labor; from 15 million VND or more for management levels of department heads, team leaders, divisions heads, and department directors. Except for management leadership and indirect labor positions, other recruitment positions did not require work experience.

Some companies had a large need to recruit human resources such as: Luxshare Group - ICT Vietnam, Van Trung Industrial Zone and Quang Chau Industrial Zone (nearly 47 thousand workers); Hong Hai Science and Technology Group - Dinh Tram Industrial Zone, Quang Chau Industrial Zone (about 27 thousand workers); New wing Interconnect Technology Bac Giang Co., Ltd., Van Trung Industrial Zone (13 thousand employees); Vietnam Lens Technology Company Limited, Quang Chau Industrial Zone (5 thousand employees), etc.

In addition to the salary regime, workers also received many supports from businesses such as fuel allowance, lunch, housing; attendance, quarterly, annual and working and production efficiency bonuses. In addition, there were social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and holiday pay; free housing or dormitory support, etc. In particular, the main labor contract in businesses was an indefinite term contract, etc.

To date, according to statistics, Cao Bang had over 7.3 thousand workers in industrial zones in Bac Giang province.

At the conference, representatives of businesses in Bac Giang province and the Association of Manpower Supply and Employment of Bac Giang province introduced an overview of mechanisms and policies to attract workers to work at businesses of Bac Giang. At the same time, they hoped that Cao Bang province's leaders at all levels would pay attention and create conditions to help Bac Giang businesses access to local labor resources and vocational schools in the province to have appropriate recruitment and consulting plans; proposed to open more worker pick-up points in districts and communes of Cao Bang province.

Speaking at the conference, delegates at the bridge points discussed issues related to recruitment conditions of businesses; coordination to review and synthesize data and evaluate local workers working in Bac Giang to improve propaganda effectiveness; improvement of training and skills for workers.

Also at the conference, representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of Cao Bang province suggested businesses in Bac Giang province to comply with their commitments on remuneration policies for workers. Enterprises coming to Cao Bang province to recruit workers must have full legal status and capacity with appraisal by the leaders of Bac Giang and Cao Bang provinces, in which the DOLISAs of the two provinces would be the focal unit, providing full information to recruitment units and workers in need.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong thanked Cao Bang province for supporting Bac Giang in providing human resources, contributing to the overall development of Bac Giang.

Mr. Le Anh Duong affirmed that Bac Giang always considered workers as the driving force for economic development of the province. Therefore, Bac Giang province always cared and created conditions for workers to develop their abilities through many support policies.

He said that Bac Giang province would do its best to create favorable conditions for Cao Bang workers, especially young workers to come to Bac Giang to learn vocational skills and work; have a good working environment and a peaceful career.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province assigned the DOLISA, the Provincial Association of Manpower Supply to coordinate with specialized agencies of Cao Bang province to advise the People's Committees of the two provinces to sign a coordination program in management, attraction and labor employment; assign focal points to work with districts and the city of Cao Bang province on recruitment needs. Bac Giang Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station shall coordinate with Cao Bang province media agencies to promote propaganda about the need for labor recruitment, worker life, working conditions and environment to help people of the two provinces see the government's concern for workers.

He requested businesses in Bac Giang province to regularly innovate recruitment methods; pay attention to training and improving qualifications so that workers could have a better life.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh requested specialized agencies of the two provinces to promote information and propaganda on promotion activities, labor attraction, working and living conditions of people, etc. At the same time, review and understand the labor situation and job search needs of local workers. Regularly monitor and understand the situation of the number of local employees working at enterprises outside the province. DOLISAs of the two provinces would coordinate to advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee solutions to support workers and businesses in connecting, recruiting and training workers.

He suggested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to direct specialized agencies to regularly monitor and understand the situation of Cao Bang province workers in Bac Giang province, periodically every 6 months and annually provide information and data on the situation of workers in Cao Bang province working in Bac Giang. Have appropriate support policies to encourage workers, especially those without homes, with small children, etc. to stick with and feel secure in working long-term with enterprises.
