Starting the visit and working in Japan, on the morning of March 18, after arriving at the airport, the delegation worked with the Bac Giang Fellows Association in Japan, meeting the Bac Giang community living and working here.

On behalf of about 7,000 Bac Giang people living, studying, working, producing, trading, and working in Japan, Chairman of the Bac Giang Fellows Association in Japan Hoang Tuan Anh was delighted with the attention of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations had given to the Bac Giang community in Japan.

Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh said that over the past years, the Bac Giang community in Japan had always united and supported each other in life as well as in learning, production, and business; always been aware of the spirit of Vietnamese people abroad; jointly mobilized and supported each other in implementing the laws of the host country.

Established in 2023, the Executive Committee of the Bac Giang Fellows Association in Japan had gathered, united, and supported overseas Vietnamese, actively connected and directed towards the Fatherland and homeland; always been ready to act as a bridge between businesses and entrepreneurs of Bac Giang province to bring unique and strong products to the Japanese people; contributing to good trade promotion and investment attraction of the province.

Typically, the Association organized a booth to display and introduce lychees, key and typical goods of the province in Osaka city; participated in a series of events celebrating the 50^th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan and the "Promotion, cultural exchange and introduction of Vietnamese lychees" program in 2023.

In addition, the Association also connected and supported Anh Quat General Hospital Co., Ltd. (Cao Thuong town, Tan Yen district) and Osaka Metropolitan University of Medicine in exchange and cooperation in exchange and cooperation in training in the medical field, developing medical examination and treatment capacity.

Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh emphasized that although living and working far from the Fatherland, far from home, the people of Bac Giang hometown werw always following, being happy and proud that in recent years, Bac Giang had always been a destination for investors.

Bac Giang Fellows Association in Japan looked forward to continuing to receive the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Union of Friendship Organizations, provincial departments, sectors and units in the orientation of activities; create favorable conditions for the Association to promote the abilities and advantages of the Bac Giang community in Japan; contribute to promoting and introducing the image of the homeland and people of Bac Giang to the Japanese people as well as for the Japanese people to better understand the province's potential, strengths, and areas of investment attraction, contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland of Bac Giang.

In a warm and affectionate atmosphere, Mr. Duong Van Thai sent to the Bac Giang community living, studying, working, and working in Japan the close and warm affecttion of his homeland.

In order for those far from home to grasp the strong changes in the province in recent years, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee gave an overview of outstanding results in socio-economic development, national defense - security, Party building work of the province.

Notably, the average economic growth rate over the past 10 years reached 14%/year, of which in 2023, the economic growth rate continued to be a bright spot in the growth "picture", reaching 13.45%, top of the country. “Now, when it comes to Bac Giang, the people of our hometown of Bac Giang abroad can be completely proud as the current position of the province is very different. Bac Giang is currently developing strongly, becoming an attractive destination for many leading global, regional and domestic corporations. The province is aiming to soon become an industrial center of the country, a growth pole of the entire region" - emphasized the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also on this occasion, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee informed the Bac Giang community about the cooperative relationship between the province and Japanese partners. Regarding investment cooperation, Japan was the fourth country in terms of number of investment projects (27 projects), ranked fifth in total FDI capital registered in the province (about 322 million USD).

Regarding trade cooperation, the total import-export turnover between Bac Giang and the Japanese market had increased over the years (in 2023, it reached 3.1 billion USD, an increase of 17.3% compared to 2022). In particular, the province's lychees was successfully exported to the Japanese market. The Japanese Embassy and many Japanese non-governmental organizations in Vietnam had a very close and close relationship with Bac Giang province.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the Party Committee and government of Bac Giang province always sincerely hoped that overseas Bac Giang people could promote their potential, strengths, creativity, and reap many successes in stable lives, increasingly have a more stable legal, economic and political status, and deeply integrate into the society of the host country.

The success of each overseas Bac Giang person always brought joy and pride to their family, clan, and homeland. He hoped that Bac Giang people far from home would continue to promote their homeland's traditions, build an increasingly united and strong community; at the same time, look towards the homeland, join hands to build Bac Giang increasingly developed.
