Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van Thai visits and works with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan

Continuing his working visit to Japan, on the morning of March 19, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Duong Van Thai and the delegation of Bac Giang province visited and worked with Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Welcoming and working with the delegation was Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu.

Joining the delegation were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Tran Cong Thang, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Viet Oanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nghiem Xuan Huong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representative leaders of a number of departments, sectors, localities and businesses.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that implementing the Party and State's policy on strengthening local foreign affairs, Bac Giang province had focused on promoting foreign affairs activities.

In recent years, Bac Giang made breakthroughs in all aspects, especially in economics with a growth rate always among the top in the country. Health, education and social security was of concern. Security and national defense was guaranteed. Foreign affairs had been strengthened.

The Provincial Party Secretary informed that during this working visit to Japan, the delegation was very grateful for the Embassy's help. On this occasion, he suggested the Ambassador and officials and staff to pay attention to help and establish a cooperative relationship at the local level with a Japanese locality.

He hoped that the Ambassador and the Embassy's officials and staff would spread and introduce Bac Giang's documents to Japanese investors. The Department of Foreign Affairs of Bac Giang would send documents, leaflets, and videos to the Embassy to introduce and promote the image of Bac Giang as well as the province's investment opportunities and potential.

Appreciating Japanese investors for trusting and choosing Bac Giang to implement 27 projects, the Provincial Party Secretary said that besides economic development, Japanese enterprises investing in Bac Giang pay attention to social issues and the lives of workers in enterprises.

He hoped that the Embassy would pay attention and support Bac Giang in connecting and cooperating in agricultural product processing and green agriculture, especially lychee processing and preservation technology; manufacturing, mechanical engineering, human resource training, medical cooperation, education, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu congratulated and highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements of Bac Giang province in recent years. He was happy that the leaders of Bac Giang province were very interested in promoting foreign affairs.

The Ambassador said that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan had many departments such as investment, trade, human resources, education, science and technology, etc. Identifying support for localities as the main mission, the Ambassador and the Embassy were ready to support Bac Giang province in connecting and promoting the locality to Japanese partners. The Embassy would coordinate and support Bac Giang province to implement activities.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu wished the delegation a successful business trip to bring many results to serve the province's socio-economic development. The Ambassador would receive publications and videos introducing Bac Giang to post on the Embassy's website.
